Urban Change and Residential Mobility

Description

Cities are undergoing a constant redefinition of their social structures in the territory. Migration and residential mobility play a key role in these processes of social and urban transformation. In this line of research, we take a geodemographic perspective in our analysis, which focuses on processes that are observed in cities around the world. We study processes of gentrification, the expansion of the most exclusive neighbourhoods, the territorial suburbanisation of lower-income groups or the links between tourism and neighbourhood change.
