Researcher in training. Statistician from the National University of Colombia, he holds a master's degree in demography from the Stockholm University. The work trough his career has touched several aspects of demography such as mortality and migration. He has served as demographer and coordinator of population projections and demographic analysis for the Colombian Statistical Office (DANE). He currently works on his doctoral thesis about the Latin American migration systems and the importance of relations between countries for its constitution. His research focuses on a stronger methodological work to obtain patterns and comparison between groups, as well as the theories that connect the global economic aspects and the structuring of these systems. His latest projects involve the analysis of Big Data and the new ways of obtaining information.
